Bella Cucina Wood Fired Pizza is all about "family, good friends, and great pizza!"
There's just a wonderful flavor that you get in a pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. We have many unique pizzas to choose from....like the Chicken Parmigiana Pizza, the Eggplant & Ricotta Pizza, the Sausage & Pepper Pizza, our signature Margharita Pizza...or build one of your own! What makes us different at Bella Cucina is that we make our own fresh mozzarella blend, our own dough, and our sauce daily, to produce a high quality pizza like no other!
But It's not just pizza... The dinner entrées include wood grilled steaks, veal, salmon, and chicken which are served with two choices: pasta, grilled veggies, or garlic mashed potatoes! Pasta lovers might want to try the Lobster Ravioli alla Vodka...or the Penne Broccoli Rabe...or maybe the Meat or Veggie Lasagna! Dressings and Italian desserts are all home made with love. The Bella Cucina Eco Story
Bella Cucina Wood Fired Pizza is an eco friendly restaurant with a contemporary Tuscan flair that specializes in wood fired pizza, an eco friendly method, as we use no electric or gas but only felled or waste wood to cook.
During the restaurant build-up eco friendly products were used, from locally manufactured furniture to water based stains and sealants with low-VOC's (volatile organic compounds).
The front and back dining room booths and chairs were upholstered with soy based foam. The front walls are plastered with zero VOC plaster, which has thermodynamic properties thus adding to the thermal comfort of the space. Throughout the rest of the space, the wall coverings used are PVC (polyvinyl chloride) free wallpaper.
The Chicago brick used in the front area was re-used and we further enhanced what was present by adding more of the eco friendly recycled product, as seen in the touches around doors, arches and wine racks.
The pendant lights over the bar and front booths are LED (light emitting diodes) lights, and the wall sconces use CFL's (compact fluorescents) light bulbs, both of which are energy saving options.
The draperies were designed not only to aesthetically please the eyes, but also serve as buffers for sound. Additionally, the fabric used helps to keep air fresh and enhances the indoor air quality.
The posters are Italian vintage, printed on recycled paper and were framed by a local framer to save shipping and embodied energy costs.
